Being a part of the movie industry would be a dream for those who all keep a passion to get their name stamped in the minds of movie lovers. Staring a career in television, getting noticed and later landing up in the colourful world of entertainment would be something very special for Mrudula Murali, a budding actress who has the caliber of acting on big screen. Anchoring for 'Dial and See', a phone in programme telecast in Jeevan TV years back, Mrudula along with her brother Mithun Murali had shown their talent which was enjoyed by malayali families around the globe. This programme got high viewership rating which had brought popularity to the channel too.
Mrudula would see television as a stepping stone for her majestic walk into the film world where she got a handful of opportunities to showcase her talents. Her first appearance on silver screen was 'Red Chillies', as one of the leading female opposite to Mohanlal. Her character 'Varada Battadirippadu', an asthmatic patient hit the chords and Mrudula got recognized. The movie directed by Shaji Kailas was a real opening for the actress who later joined the crew of 'Elsamma Enna Aankutty'. Lal Jose' directorial venture brought Mrudula with a different character 'Sherin' who had a negative shade.
The real opportunity was knocking at the doors for Mrudula getting casted as lead female in Manu Sudhakaran's directorial debut '10.30 AM Local Call'. Blended with a novel theme, the movie is exact blend of suspense, love, and humour flavoured accordingly. The story of the movie revolves around young married couples Alby(Nishan) a car showroom manager and Ann(Mrudula) an RJ by profession who lives a cheerful family life. Vishnu and Nimmi are other two couples who lead a lovely life. Things turned around as an unexpected phone call from a stranger really gave a shock to their colourful living.
The rest of the story goes through an exciting phase where the couple tries to find solution and deals with the problems. The director Manu Sudhakaran has tried to narrate how a phone call could alter the steady life of people. Ordinary movie fame Sritha Sivadas is handling a prominent role while Lal plays the role of Colonel Gaurivasan.

Produced by Priya Pillai under the banner of Priyalashmi Media Private Limited, 10.30 AM Local Call will have a long cast including Kailesh, Krishna, Anoop Chandran, Manraj, and Jennifer. Scripted by Arun Lal, the movie will be blessed by the splendid tunes set by
Gopi Sunder for the lyrics of Rafeeq Ahmed and Murukan Kattakkada. The camera will be cranked by Krish Kaimal who had shown his mettle behind the screen for the movie 'Chapters'.
Mrudula would be more excited to be a part of another project, her tamil debut 'Nagaraja Cholan MA, MLA'. The movie will be a sequel of the 1994 Sathyaraj-Manivannan's Amaidipadai. Sathyaraj will be seen as the same character as in Amaidipadai. 'Nagaraja Cholan MA, MLA' would be the 50th movie for Manivarnan as director. Ragu Manivannan (son of Manivannan) is the young hero of the film while Mrudula plays female lead role as 'Shanmugha Valli' is the film opposite to Ragu.
More interestingly her brother Midhun Murali is also an actor who had made his movie debut with 'Vajram' had debuted in tamil with Vazhakku enn 18/9". Midhun is currently a part of Black Butterfly and Buddy.
Talking with SpiderKerala, Mrudula couldn't stop her excitement for bagging a handful of projects in kitty. Road to success are too far, and we wish the young actress a cheerful acting career.
