Priya made her maiden entry in the Malayalam Movie Janakan directed by N R Sanjeev in 2009. In Janakan she is acting as the daughter of Suresh Gopi and Kaveri. Her role was the character by name Seetha. This film has the mega star Mohanlal.

She is also a play back singer. She has sung for her 2nd film Holidays. She has also a song in Tamil for the movie Eesal. The song was a multilingual patriotic song.
