Shritha Sivadas is an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Malayalam movies. She made her acting debut through the movie Ordinary as a village girl. Shrita who is blessed with very charming and captivating face is looking forward for a better acting career.
Early life
Shrita Sivadas was born as the daughter of fact officer Sivadas and Uma in Uliyannoor near Aluva. Her brother Vignesh is an engineering student. Shrita is supported by her family members to fulfill her dream of acting. While doing her schooling in Fact School and Holy Gross Convent School Shritha had participated actively in classical dance which helped her in to perform well in dance scenes of movies. She who has completed her degree from Kaladi Sree Shankarajarya College would like to continue her studies and wish to complete a MBA degree.
Graced with the name Maria, which means 'beautiful flower' in Spanish, the model turned actress who hails from Ernakulam in Kerala is currently doing her graduation in Law (third year) from Sinhgad Law College under the Pune University. Before retirement, being an army officer her father Simon Yohannan had to work in different parts of India including Jammu & Kashmir during Kargil War which made Maria to study in 10 different schools before landing in Sinhgad Law College for graduation.
Maria John in Red Wine romancing Fahadh Faasil
Walking through the ramps, Maria John had made those shows much impressive. She had won Miss Kendriya Vidyala 2009-2010 and Miss Sinhgad 2010- 2011. She also had lent her face for a jewellary ad and had done magazine shoots for Grihalaxmi, Cinema Mangalam and Vakdevatha.
Entry into films
Shrita started her career in television as the anchor of Dew Drops and Tharolsavam in Kairali channel which later landed her into the world of entertainment. The name Parvathy was changed to 'Shrita' while during the shooting of her first movie Ordinary. The romantic song "Sun Sun Sundari Thumbi" along with Kunjakko Boban in the movie has given much acclimation for her.Romancing Fahadh Faasil in the movie, Maria would be on cloud nine along side of a project which also have Mohanlal and Asif Ali in lead. Being the directorial debut of Salam Palapeetty(Salam Bappu), Red Wine is one of the most anticipated malayalam movie.
Future projects
After the success of her first movie Ordinary, Shrita is ready for the upcoming suspense thriller 10.30 AM Local Call. Being as an ordinary girl, she would have to go through some extra ordinary situations in this movie. Her next project is with new generation star Fahad Fazil, Red Carpet. Even though she has been getting many offers from tamil movie Shritha likes to stick to malayalam.Paring opposite to Fahadh Faazil, Maria keeps an eye on the big league including her entry in other South Indian movies. Even though she missed Dolls and Edavapathi, Red Wine would prove her caliber as an actress who plays the character role of a Hyderabadi woman.
Meanwhile, her tamil movie Chennai Super Kings (Chennai Singha Kutty), brings her as a Gujarati girl in Dwarak's debut, a movie which keep cricket as its soul. The theme of the movie is centered upon three men who are in love with a girl.
Maria who likes to give more preference to studies would like to give 2 more years to complete her course and later wish to get married. Keeping modeling as a passion, Maria is truly interested in photography, penning poems, reading and hearing music.
